I have found a few articles and read them, but please let it be known that right now this is what is supposedly going on. Court cases take quite a while to get through, so take what I say and heed it with caution. We don’t know everything right now, but here is what’s being reported from Korean news sites:

On September 1st, Bang Chan filed the start of a civil lawsuit in Seoul. He’s taking legal action against either one or two X (Twitter) accounts. Some people are saying it’s one, some are saying it’s two. That doesn’t matter. Regardless of how many people it is, someone(s) used his face to create deepfakes. A deepfake is created with AI technology. Basically, Chan’s face was placed on a fake body and it looked like he said racial slurs and sexually explicit things.

He did not consent to this and not only did he not consent, but if people don’t know that it’s a deepfake, it can easily tank his reputation. He himself has stated in the lawsuit that it has caused him “mental distress, physical stress, and damage to his reputation.” The account(s) uploading this content are anonymous and due to that, the posters are unknown.
